    TESLA SOLAR TRACKER III
    12 & 24 VOLT SYSTEMS

These 12V & 24V Tesla Solar Tracker III's are specifically designed for offline solar power systems. They are fully integrated solar charge controllers.

Most charge controller and solar panel systems cannot even start charging the battery banks until there is direct bright sunlight on the solar panels.

It is common for these Tesla Solar Tracker III's to start charging as soon as the sun comes up until the sun sets. Marginal light is the minimum requirement - so you can have battery charging all day long even under cloudy skies!

This does not have to do with the solar panel, it has to do with the interaction between what the solar panel sees in relation to what the charge controller does with it.

No other solar charge controller in the industry can compete with this game-changing technology built by John Bedini, the world's indisputable master of battery charging technology.

Many solar system have to have their battery banks changed every 5-7 years because the conventional charge controllers do such an incredibly poor job at even getting the battery voltages up to where they like to be.

Therefore, there is normally sulfation layer upon sulfation layer, which never quite gets removed with conventional charge controllers.

The Tesla Solar Tracker III will deeply rejuvenate the battery bank when charging fully removing the sulfation layers and getting the batteries to a higher voltage, which keeps them in good shape.

    What does this mean?

It means you will not have to change your battery banks as often, if ever, and this makes your ROI for your solar system simply make sense.
    • Simple common sense installation. Simply connect the input then connect the output - that's it!

    • Simple and easy accesible fuse.

    • Easy to read LED status indicates when the battery is being charged.

    • See owner’s manual for more details.

I have purchased a 60amp solar tracker III,have two panels, will be buying more soon.I have a large inverter.
So what batteries shall I buy.
Do I get two banks of batteries one on charge the other on the inverter & what watts/amp hour should I get.
Is there anyone out there who can help

      TST3 1st few runs

Here are some results charging 24V Bank of 6V Batteries accross TST3 24V 20Amp with one panel delivering approx 9amps in full sunlight.

      The batteries are:

4-5Yrs. old, sitting in a shed for the past 2yrs.
TC Trans Canada; they look to be like Trojan knock-offs
      6V - 210aH
      Resting Voltage 4.8 - 5.2V per Batt.

The chart shows 3 discharge cycles with each one progressively getting better. The 3rd cycle shows 216aH before cutting off at 21V. Not bad for for 4yr. old sulfated batteries.

I also started converting two of the BATT's to ALUM, early results put them around 140aH out of the gate with a basic 4:1 mix. I'll post results on the crystal batteries thread once i more data becomes available.

What exactly are your intentions? Also what size inverter plus the info on your panels would help(Brands...model number(s),etc. for both the inverter and panels). What voltage is the Solar Tracker III model you have also?

If it is from Tesla Chargers, you can email Peter directly at the email on the banner at www.teslachargers.com

He is extremely swamped right now with some deadlines so I'm not sure he'll be able to post here soon.

              Aaron murakami & John H
I tried to buy a LLE from r-charge but they had no stock,so in the end just went for it & bought a 60amp tracker,I want to power my home,& can size the load to fit the avaliable power.
              I live in sunny Portugal.
I have lived with solar so know the practicalities.
So if I put the max in.And if the inverter can handle the load.
Batteries, lead acid?with normal solar you always leave 50% in & have excess power for cloudy days. But Im guessing you need 1/3-1/4 of that with these systems. And do I get two banks of batteries one on charge the other on the inverter, how many amp hours.
Thanks for your help, sorry about all the stupid questions.

I don't understand why the price of 24A12 is almost $2000 and the price of S20A12 is $500 when the amperage is almost the same? I understand the convenience of 24 hour charging for a plug-in unit 24A12 versus a 12 hour charging with a solar panel for an S20A12. Is there any difference how well one or the other works/rejuvenates when compared to each other? Why such a dramatic difference of $1300 between the two devices?

                  Hi all,

Just doing a feeler... Would there be any interest in a 48 volt Tesla Solar Tracker? If the answer is yes please reply here and let it be known.

                  Thank you,

                  Dave Wing

The 24A12 is not a solar unit and comes with its own power supply.

Hi Dave, why would you want to have a 48v version? Is it because you have 48v panels or are you thinking of running a 48v inverter?

                          Hi John,

I have had a few customers request a 48 volt Tracker for house /cabins and Golf cart use. They find the 12 or 24 volt versions to be a slight inconvenience when charging or using their devices.

                          Dave

I am one of the customers who would really like to see a 48 volt charge controller. First I currently have about a 4.7 kilowatt system..... this was expensive.... but as of lately or right now you can buy solar panels for about .65-.69 cents a watt. That means about 4,000 dollars of solar panels will purchase a 6 kilo watt panel set. Being off grid in a cabin you can get away with little electricity, but if you have prepping communities or you have a shop you would like to insulate from the grid these larger systems are becoming very affordable.

When you get into larger systems the 48 volt system makes much more sense.....
So for me.... I have a 48 volt system..... and its just not possible for me to use current models.
I think making a 48 volt system would open the door to larger markets, the right marketing materials to professionals in the solar industry might go further than you think.

I am also working on a 48 volt golf cart making it solar.... I have an option for mounting roughly 300 watts of solar dirctly to the cart. This is enough in certain locations to allow the cart to travel 1 mile for every 30 to 45 minutes in peak sun light...... if this golf cart incorporated a tesla tracker at 48 volts.... the gold carts batteries would last much longer..... also durring the usage over time of the cart the cart would maintain peak power. I have a few business idea's and think this market could be large. Eventually the tracker package would need to be slimmed down a little for the golf cart industry...... but for my personal use I don't really care how it is.... I plan on making it work!

Great Tech Bendini.... thanks for not quitting and bringing your tech and understanding to market!

Shalom.... Look forwarding to seeing a 48 volt Tesla Tracker!

Why is just a 12v and 24v version of this tracker manufactured? Is there a benefit to going with 12v over 24v or vice versa? Why don't you create a 48v model to fit in with peoples existing installations?
