Neat and very impressive... just a thought.. why not try to keep the rotary spark gap in the zone where it would be interacted upon by the Secondary Spark
..my guess you should see periodic strikes at/ accross to the gap similar to the one where it strikes to the 'Discharge-ring' above the Primary coil..
