Monopole Magnets

i use ferrit magnets to, the black ones... no neo,
my magnets are smaller 10mm x 10mm x 20 mm...
so torque and rpm could be lower.. but triggering sharp pulses works as well i think...

(17/8) inch = 5.3975 centimeters
(3/8) inch = 9.52500 millimeters = 1 centimeter
1 inch = 2.54 centimeters


i think we should talk in millimeters instead of inches

Yes, I think in mm too

Tom C means 1-7/8" or ~50mm, not 17/8". The other dimension are correct.

In my SSG i use ceramic Ferrite magnets.

Welcome all,

The first thing we want to get out of the way is magnets, which to use? we only use Ferrite C8 in the monopole energiser. 3/8" by 1" by 17/8" almost every magnet supplier on the face of the planet has this exact magnet or something similar. John will be posting on the reasons for this decision at a later time.
