Wheel Diameter

I purchased the beginners Handbook. I have one question however from reading it. It relates to the diameter of the wheel and spacing of the magnets. The book talks about 22 inch and 20 inch wheel, which one do you use to get the correct spacing of the magnets which I believe was to be 3 inches. I want to do this correctly as it was emphasized to follow the plans exactly thus my confusion. thanks

if you want it exactly then a rim with a 22 inch diameter is actually a 26 inch rim. rim diameter is measured to include the tire.... yea spent lots o money buying the wrong sized rims...... you can get it here:

this will give you spacing for up to 21 magnets.
