I have tried a lot of these free EDA packages and have found this one to be the
easiest one to learn. The name of the package is DipTrace. The software interface in
DipTrace is very nice. I worked with one EDA freeware that had some tech support due to
the PCB board manufacture had an ordering interface built into the software. After days
of questions and many hours of working with it I never finished my board layout. Once
I found the DipTrace I was able to do my board layout within a few hours with no email
questions to anybody. You may want to try the DipTrace. If you only need to draw a
schematic I have found TinyCad to be a very good freeware schematic package. Although
DipTrace has a good package also.
Download TinyCAD for free. TinyCAD is a program for drawing electrical circuit diagrams commonly known as schematic drawings. It supports standard and custom symbol libraries.
