Transformer electric field effect

I conducted an experiment on a power toroidal transformer to examine the electric field effects.
The results were not what I expected, I currently have no idea why this happens.

That's very interesting! I wonder if that behavior is peculiar to only a toroidal transformer or to other types as well?
