  • Search For Electromechanical Relay - Obsolete - Hard to Find!

Old style electromagnetic dual coils relay cannot be found by many technicians. These were new extras, used for the electrical pole boxes of Georgia street traffic light signal 6volt lights many years back. Most nowadays are solid state replacement. These specialized relays were used in alternate energy tests due to exquisite properties. AC , 60 cycles, switching, latching, dual inductors, each about 1.5 Millihenry #21 gauge magnet wire, .7 ohm per coil, diode in between coils, coils each 1 3/4" by 3/4" with small core. The Bakelite outer black housing has no bracket, no markings, screw terminals on outside, and looks like an old vintage relay. Outer housing 3" long, 2" wide, and 1 1/2" high. The units are enclosed in VACUUM , so as will be extremely reliable in all weather conditions 24 hours a day, all year. When one was tapped and imploded, they are to be found with pivoting armature with 6 sets contacts inside. The alternate energy web site was closed down since no more than the original 15 can be found. When tested by technicians for hydrogen conversions, and other types did not work, they said they were worth their weight in gold. Search Please!
