Supercapacitors as replacent for Accu's / Batteries?

I just went thru a local component sellers available
list of Super-capacitors.
50 Farads/2,3 V each ab.19 dollars
100 Farads/ 2,3 V each ab. 30 dollars

? Could we already replace Accus and batteries with
these components?

I have had this idea for a while too. All these self running Bedini SSG's that I see on youtube don't work because the battery doesn't like being charged and discharged at the same time. It ends up "locking up" the battery. So I was thinking about using super capacitors as the source for the SSG and back popping that. As far as I know a capacitor won't mind being charged and then discharged rapidly.

Thoughts?
