In half of the book “heat” can be converted to work and later in the book “heat” represents the energy wasted. To eliminate this confusion the terms “heat” and “work” will not be used to describe the transfer of energy but only act as the byproducts of the transfer of energy. One example of this approach is to change the simple statement from “the sun heated the water” to “the sun transferred energy to the water”.

    The following is a step by step approach to this paradigm shift in energy and thermodynamics:

    Hi Wrenchtime,
    Yes its a very good article to enlighten about Energy and its differences with Power or Heat per say. However Thermodynamics has its limitations to Define anything more fundamental on Energy. the aritcle still puts the second law of thermodyanmics puts into the correct perspective on the irreversibility between Work and Heat, since is known as Symmetrical gauging in Electrodynamics.
    Electrodynamics shows us that enviromental exchange of Energy due to broken symmetry (an electric dipole) makes Space-time continum to flip their places and actions making Energy and Power interchange their palces as well.
    ''Destruction and Creation if defined correctly makes Energy eternal''
    just the correct way of rephrasing the old second law of Thermodynanics...
