    Mjl 21194 or Mjl 21193 transistors

    Can i use mjl21193 transistors insted of mjl21194 transistors in my energizer ?

    I live in iceland ,and the mjl21194 are not availible ,but the 21193 transistors are.

    That is even better for Radiant but has to be handled very carefully or will blow up much easily (MJL 21193 IS PNP and you will switch the POSITIVE SIDE OF THE CIRCUIT.)as compared to MJL21194..

    Why would a supplier carry only the PNP and not the complementary NPN? If you do PNP, your trigger winding must be "grounded" to positive as well. Basically put a mirror facing vertical under the SG schematic, and what you see in the reflection is what you must build using the PNP.
