  • applications of the MHD effect

I am wondering if the MHD effect can be applied to alkaline secondary metal-air electrochemical cells in order to create charge order within the electrolyte, by trapping the ions along the lines of flux, the magnetic will concentrate the electroyte ions per unit mass area of electrode material. This would not only help to decrease H2 evolution, but help prevent Zn dendrite formation, increase charge transport density and efficiency. Will test the idea with 2mm Nd sheet polymer magnets to see if the Fe electrode in Ni-Fe chemistries will be affected.

    What do you think?
