Using Bedini technology for an E bke

would it be posible to use the Bedini technology on an E bike. place magnets on the rim of one of the wheels and place the generator on the rim to charge the battery?

It depends on what technology your talking about. if you could figure out a way of attaching a window motor to a bike that would work. An SG setup will make a very poor bike. it is not designed for torque wich would be a pretty big priority in a bike.

Yes, the SG is essentially an energiser, not a motor. It would be better to work on and develop an SG attached to a bench until such time as you can generate an absolute minimum of 300watt into the SG's charge battery. This will be an impressive piece of kit.

Then think about mounting all this on a bike, but not using its road wheels other than as road wheels.

you could use a window motor as your drive and an sg as the charger. if you had two battery banks it would be heavy for a bike but could be made very efficient.

Is there a reason why the new Lithium ion automotive batteries could not be used?

    Hi All,
Yes, Lithium ion batteries have notorious reputation for being expolsive!! although with protection and sensing techniques this can be done away with, however barely subjecting then to Bedini type of charging is not recommended for the sake of safety reasons.

    Hi All,
JB has already done a similar application in his endevour to build a self-sustained iteration for locomotive.
refer his Old website...He mentions about a 10 foot long electric boat built in colaboration with Robert lee motors (circa 1886), in the that occasion he used a Standard DC motor scaled to the propotion of the power needed and a G-Field Energiser with a swappable Battery banks.
I feel his 1984 single Battery mode can very well be used for this purpose as well.
you just need to replace the hub motor of an electric bike with a brushed DC motor and then get the switching correct to get extended runs using the same battery.

    Hi,

    http://emediapress.com/johnbedini/ic...1/bearden.html
That's the link to the old website.
The Single Battery version breaks power in pulses between the Motor and the Energiser.
remember the DC motor has to be brush type DC motor.
you may put as many batteries as you can in parallel to that 'single' battery. and yes while you have one at least fully charged and the rest of them low in charge..after some prolonged use all of them are fully charged!!!!
I recommand you to buy the Advanced SG book it will enlighten you more on these aspects!
