    I was wondering how you can replace a Transistor/Trigger sytem to simulate the SSG?? untill i read this perticular post and you are right it is suitable for that 1984 John Bedini machine...but mind you it is a different machine from the SSG mode...remember Bedini's website saying.... the Motor(dc. torque motor and not SSG) was the ineffeicent part of the system and hence he came up with the SSG that we know today, what you are trying to do here is suitable for the Tesla Switching mechnism which is essentially a Cap dump mode of late i have conceived with the idea of having both the 1984 and SSG together to make the Untimate Bedini machine!!! any way your workmanship is a beauty here...keep it up friend!

        New rotor machined from billet, ready for slotting larger and longer magnets. (4 of 25mm X 25mm X 150mm).
        Longer 17mm shaft to allow for 4 commutators if necessary.
        Bearings blocks moved to new locations.
        2 of 4 coils mounted.

                            Hi Bob,

                            I'm not modest, I just work around some guys who are amazing.
                            I'm not a machinist by trade, just an amateur in the back yard burning bits till he knows better.
                            I have a four year old and an 11week old that are devouring my life at the moment.
                            There isn't a whole lot to go.
                            I couldn't find a gearing system for my commutator cards so they are finished.
                            The big rotor is about 3hours more work.
                            A bit of wiring and some hold downs for the coils maybe 20hrs to go?
                            Since this project I've been contemplating things.
                            Peter Lindemann suggested the biggest wheels are always the best so if this works out I have some racing wheels I'm keen on transforming too.
                            Hit me with any thoughts you have.

                            Oh and good tools make any fool look great.

                              Tried to push the magnets in but its a bit tight.
                              need to shave .1mm off the sides.

                                It turns out the slots were spot on, it was the magnets that were bent!
                                The magnets red side is north, peculiar to see where the magnet lines up.
