Thanks John, I shall get me some of those. I was just being a cheapskate and using what I had floating around. The postage costs the same as the magnets.
P.S. I reckon theres gotta be about as many Aussies here as there are yanks![]()

HI,
Just let me clarify again.
For S pole SSG, can I use the coil's opposite side?
Because one side of a coil is N pole, and the another side is S pole, right?
That means I can put the coil on the another side up for S pole SSG motor?

Hello all, I am gathering parts for a build. really trying to build it exactly as plans state... having trouble sourcing magnets... and wondering about tolerances. i have found locally a 1 x 2 x .5 ceramic, and want to know if this would work, and if so, how must my clearance between the coil change, father? tighter? or maybe i really need 1 x 2 x 3/8. thank you.
Hey John K,
Would these magnets work from Princess Auto Part # 8159063 1,000 to 1,200 gaus 2 pcs for $2.49
Thanks
John

Confuse about finding the North pole of my magnets...
Common sense is telling me the North pole of my magnet should attract the south part of my compass needle. Is it so?
I am asking because we know that magnets align themself N-S N-S N-S and so on. But I read somewhere that all our compass are wrong. Since the N on the compass needle point to the earth North pole, so in reality in order to follow the N-S-N-S alignment, the ''N'' on the compass needle should in reality be a ''S''.
Or is it our earth North pole that is in reality the south pole.....AAAaarrgghhhh!!!!![]()

Hi,
I love to answer Fundamental question: well it does'nt really matter if it is S-pole or N-pole the term Monopole implies to either of these two , used as Single Pole (so Monopole) why John Choose to use N-pole consitently in all his writings, post, Patents, website ect. carries a deeper
Scalar -Electromagnetic base, well essestiall J.B has it experimentally verified about the Asymmetrical property of N-Pole camparrred to it Electric Counterpart.
