I have ran my large SG coil at several voltages up to around 108 volts. It did run a bit (awfully) warm until I removed the smoked neons from the circuit.

Lately, I've stayed with 24 volts and get spikes in the 100 volt range. (I'll recheck with a scope.)

I've run the thing up to 20 amps with no heat problems. (22 ga. wire @ 310 feet x 117 strands.)

I'll take a look and see if there is a difference in radiant spikes at various input voltages.
