The menu bar at the top has a new option - 20 Most Recent Threads.
That actually takes you to the index.php page or directly to the real homepage.
It lists the 20 Most Recent Threads, literally, and is probably the best page to visit to see what has happened since you have been at the forum.
There is the What's New button, but that shows you every little thing that happened, so try out the 20 Most Recent Threads link.
