  • Type of magnets to be used for Bedini SG

    Hello,

thanks for this great forum and good work on helping people around the globe!

I have problems finding 24 ferite magnets 1x2x0.5 for the rotating wheel. Is it OK to use 24 Neodymium N45H that I have available?

Also about exact dimensions can these vary a little bit?

Thanks for your answer on that.

    Vitalie.

No pointing, but I can tell you exactly why!!. .................. Neos are too strongly attracted to the cores and require too much energy to break free. (Strong cogging action.) Plus they also over-saturate the core which wastes even more energy. It won't even run with neos unless you really open up the gap between the wheel and the coil. And even then, it will run very poorly.
