    Dc to dc converter

    Hello everyone, I became a member after getting the SSG books. I am looking for a circuit diagram. What I need is a dc to dc converter none inductive, low current loss. I have around 120vdc at 3 micro amps. I am trying to convert this to 12vdc with an increase in current. I can then parallel these to run my Bedini. The dc voltage is from a radiant energy antenna with a tesla circuit hooked to it. Any tips or direction will be very helpful, thank you.

    Hi Billy,

    You have a pretty low power energy source to utilize for sure, some hundred microwatts. I have looked around and found a simple solution, albeit its conversion efficiency is only about 63 percent. Although it uses a 4kV spark gap, there are gas filled 90V spark gaps which would be good for your 120V DC input I believe. And you could make several primary input coils onto the same ferrite core shown in Figure 1 as 400 turns and a common output secondary coil, albeit you wrote you did need a none inductive if that meant no coils at all...     Another possibility would be to use this Linear Tech circuit, designed for piezoelectric energy harvesting (data sheet is here: http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/datasheet/35881fa.pdf You can see PZ1 and PZ2 input pins, these are designed to process 20V input voltage at a certain microAmper level and protected, now you could chain 5 or 6 such circuits, connecting their PZ2 pin to the next PZ1 pin and so on in series. I did not test this, just an idea, and I am not a distributor for Linear Tech...

    Here is the DC2DC Converter from the SG Beginners Handbook's 'Methods of Charging Patent'. This is an energizer that uses a 12V Battery at the middle of a center-tapped coil that I want to make. We should collaborate here, since this is from the SG beginners Handbook you already have. See Fig 1 Pg 108 for the Full-Cap Dump.

    The only hard part is winding this coil. The SG3524 PWM can be built as shown here with 500K d-cycle pot and 1M freq-adjust Pot, and Cap sizes 0.1uF to 0.47uF. Use switches to allow changing speed ranges.

    Or you can just buy one here for under $3 already made. 1K Hz is lowest frequency unless you unsolder surface mounts and tack some real parts there to adjust Cap and Resistor.

    *So for the 120V you have, you need a much longer antenna, so stop that experiment right now.

    Instead, if you use your Bedini 9-Filar Energizer coil with one transistor on one wire only, the 7 unused wires will give you 15V at 24mA. Doesn't that sound a whole lot better? No effect felt by SG running this way. I bought some 29AWG to include in every coil. With this harvest, you can run an SG3524 at least.

    You must criss-cross connect two wires open-ended to a FWBridge Rectifier. One side of Bridge tap Top of coil unused strands, and other side of Bridge input tap Bottom of coil unused strands. For each leg, to make longer, jumper from open-end to other end of coil. You can put 3 wires in series one leg and 4 the other leg. Put 4 on Neg AC in leg (side closest to -DC out) to get a bit more. If you want, I can show what I did.

    But, you can use Brass or AL Rods with AC to coil around rod and rod, but never connected, and light a string of Christmas tree light with 65V at 4.5 Watts. Brass rods about $5US each.

    can you charge a big high efficiency capacitor bank to 120 volts?
    The SG is a form of DC to Dc converter, converting down and then up is a waste of power, if you want to charge batteries then i suggest you either charge strait from the output with a cap pulser of sorts, or if you want mechanical you make an SG that runs on high voltage. just increase the resistance of the coils run a different HV transistor
    however, whatever you make will have to be tiny on that amount of output power, i suggest you work on increasing the output of your collector before you go any further, polish the plates and insulate them with a strong dielectric and hang them higher on glass insulators, your grounding is critical, use a tree or some long copper bars or both, good luck

    I have seen that vid by John Hutchinson. I have moved across the country and am just getting resettled. I will be exploring my atmospheric energy research soon. My you tube channel is BackRoomLabs. My goal with this rf to dc energy source is possibly run a joule ringer for lighting off caps. Maby charge battery's run a small SSG for drill battery's n such. Anyways I have a book with ideas written down to try and get higher voltages and more current.

    Everyone loves what lasersaber has been doing. He was one of my inspirations. Those guys are on some cool stuff. I'm glad to see some one has taken this to the next level. It has been to long since Ben Franklin and his balloons and wire, and Tesla have worked on this. There are all kinds of ways to gather and convert the energy that surrounds us. Makes sense we haven't used this form of power as it seems little money can be made from it. We can only hope those in power will get ther heads outa there asses before it's to late.

    In posting this and looking up Markov XFRMR, i stumbled upon finally understanding the VTA Flux Cancel w. E-Field ADD ! Look at the BOGO output ;-) Oh man i wanna see this resonate BOGO.

    OK this experiment in the pic above is 14.5V @ 13mA, not much power, but it is FREE power from a Bedini SG I see no one else mentioning here or extracting.

    I bought lots of 29 AWG intended for more tests for this tiny current from nowhere. Resistance will limit length, which can only be so long and still fit in spool with SG active-strands.
    The thing I find odd is roll-poly Sine waves smoke the SG's abrupt perturbing of the space near the open-ended Radiant Harvesting Wires.-->

    The Brass rods prove there is still lots of electrostatic component in the AC wires in the walls doing nothing at all. 4.5 Watts is almost enough to run an SG well. Mine needs 12V @ ~ 0.6 A or 7.2 Watts.

    $ per Watt ratio not good, with Brass or AL rods harvesting from AC used in your home it 'seems', BUT it is eternally gathering even when you use no power at all, cuz no electrical connection. Not to be over-looked. * * * * * Probably can ditch the rods and just use two wires as i show on paper in pic. Wound around or placed along-side Hot & Neutral wires to an unused Extension Cord; tested in various ways will tell the tale.

    So Markov XFRMR description I read long ago said: 'Though the Primary is counter-wound with no (net) magnetic flux, energy still flows out of the Secondary'. Sweet. Really, I mean Sweet !
