  • Copper coated welding rods

I am getting ready to purchase the welding rods...found the r60 1/16th...but not sure if they are copper coated?

Hi Branch. I found 1.2mm or the thinner 0.8mm mig wire to be OK in my experiments. This is the same steel content as the welding wire and I use it when using the oxy acetylene . It is way cheaper than the recommended welding rods. If you don't want to buy a 15Kg roll, find someone around you that does mig welding. You will need 300 pieces of 0.8mm or 200 pieces of 1.2mm wire to fill each coil core at 3/4 inch diameter.
