  • Spark gap alternatives

Hello. I'm researching cold currents and want to know opinions on semiconductor spark gap emulators, which fill following requirements:
    - it blocks reverse currents
    - it's able to work with HV (up to 30kv) impulses of relatively small currents (up to 5 mA)

Just because spark gaps are too noisy and causing much RF disturbances

What about triggered vacuum (gas) spark gaps? http://www.excelitas.com/Pages/Product/Spark-Gaps.aspx

    Just an idea
