  • Load Running Off Charging Battery

    Hi All,

Quick question here. In the following video:

John Bedini 10 Coiler Talk Energy Conf 2011 (1 of 3) - YouTube

A member of the audience describes running a load off of the charging battery from an SSG. My current (and always growing) understanding is that you can't run a load off of a battery that is being charged by the SSG because the inverter can't handle the spike. I have to assume they where using an inverter at the time of testing as they where running a lamp, laptop, etc.

    Thanks!

Joster, we weren't running an inverter at the same time the 10 coiler was running. You are correct, you cannot run a load at the same time as you are charging the battery.

Ok, that's good to know. Thanks

May it be possible to filter the spikes going to the inverter out with a coil, while keeping the batt charging radiantly?

          Dominus,

No, I do not recommend charging and loading the battery at the same time. No matter how you think you can do it.
