  • what is the benefit of using superpoles

hi all just wanted to know what is the benefit of using superpoles.

First, try to understand why and what is the Super pole describibg about?
if you ponder enough you should be opening the gate to understand what this Scalar Field is...!!

The field on a super pole arranged magnet pair produces a sharp north gradient almost straight out from the center of the magnet pair. It is narrower and longer than a standard north field, and weaker on either side. This allows the core see the magnetic field for a shorter duration of time, allowing faster switching of the trigger circuit.

thank you for your replies. i have setup a super pole setup however it does not seem to work. when i replace the super pole with standard north pole it works fine.

please post pictures of your setup. there are many variables, most likely your coil is not configured correctly. a coil wound to Johns specc's will work with scalar north or regular north poles.

Hello tom, i read once that stressing magnets like in the super pole configuration can result in the magnetic field weakening very quickly... has any of you noticede this in your experience with superpoles? thanks

I have not experienced this, my only experience with superpoles is this, it is very very hard to get the coil to trigger with super poles, as it is the induced current in the trigger winding thru the core flip that fires the base. I have run both and I enjoy non super pole rotors for ease of experimenting much better. my last super pole rotor in an 18 awg coil would only trigger with 22 ohms total on the base, bulb in parallel, charging was good though. I have seen some done with grain aligned steel in the center of the 2 magnets but not sure how much that helps.
