    Hi guys, I was just wondering what the wire length needed would be to create the coil on the drawing that John initially gave to the little girl to build off. On the top it says North Pole Motor and it has the drawing of the skate wheel and coil and stuff. For the coil it says use 450 turns of Bifilar wound wire of 23 and 26. The dimensions of this coil are 1"x1.5". Does anyone know approximately how many feet of wire it would take to wrap this little coil with 450 turns? And should the be twisted together or just side by side on the coil? Thanks in advance.

    Hi Buz86,

    1)With a standard spool of a soldering wire, you may need little over 100feet magnet wires (23# and 26#) to wind up to 450 turns.
    2)twisting is preferred instead of having them side by side wound. having them this way will ensure equal length and avoids slippages at the time winding them.
