Hey Tom. Yes, they are needed. They serve three purposes. #1 They are the bones of the inner. #2 The are used to wind the outer perimeter coils. #3 They provide the triangle slots for the outer shells. Enough room should be there for a thin layer of dampening material. That black gorilla glue brand duct tape is perfect. Once you cut some strips to put over the triangles in the housing just slide it on.

I did leave out, unintentionally, that the perimeter windings will be tied together in series to where they will pulse all six magnets poles in the same direction (either push or pull). Power the window coil up first. If, when you power up the ssg coils (perimeter coils), it does not increase in speed, you have hooked it up wrong.

Most cities have a pro skateboard shop. You can get a pack of ABEC-5 bearings for $20. I added three additional files that will give a choice to use 8mm rod with skateboard bearings. These are better than ABEC-7 if you can spend a little more: https://bonesbearings.com/bones-reg-...earings-8-pack

Does the Generator coil (i heard you say you are using 'coil-shorting'using red switch in the video)serve the same purpose as the Aluminium cylinder in Bedini's Spherical Window motor that runs on the Lenz's opposition mode??

This is yet another design. It uses the Harbour Freight ceramic magnets. They are doubled up at each of the 6 positions in the NSNSNS configuration. I am using one Trigger wire (26 AWG), one Power wire (23 AWG), and one Generator wire (20 AWG) on this motor. The circuit is a one transistor Bedini SSG. Yes..from the BC circuit. The energizer is not hooked up yet.
You mentioned in the previous video that the energizer had a trigger winding on each coil. If this is mechanically driven by the window motor, why are you using trigger windings on the mechanically driven bottom unit? Is this for coil shorting? Or maybe over-driving it as an SSG for more out put? Or for switching a controller?
The separate trigger coils will be to trigger the coils at the right time via multiple ssg circuits as per Patrick/Bolt's method : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0leZ...QP5Zv9OtA&t=2s
I thought the energizer portion of John's 1984 machine was basically a low drag alternator charging a cap through diodes, with a switching controller cap dump to the singular battery.
